Black Stars players Jordan Ayew and
Andre Ayew stole the show in the French Ligue 1 on Friday night with the
younger Ayew brother making the most headlines with his two goals and
an assist in the game.
Andre also scored to kick start a comeback
that eventually wasn’t meant to be when his Olympique Marseille side
entertained the club he watched his younger brother play for last week,
FC Lorient.
Jordan Ayew opened the scoring for FC Lorient in the 9 minute before setting up Francois Bellugou to put the away side 2-0 up.
Jordan
Ayew and his away side held on for the remainder of the first half as
they went into the interval leading by two goals to nil.
Andre
Ayew kick started a comeback for home side Olympique Marseille pulling a
goal back 14 minutes after the game restarted to make it 2-1.
Jeremy Morel leveled the scoring to 2-2 but Roman Philippoteaux restored Lorient’s lead a minute later.
Michy
Batshuayi again made it 3-3 but the comeback wasn’t meant to be as
Jordan Aye and Mattias Autret both scored in the space of two minutes to
give FC Lorient a 5-3 victory in the eight-goal thriller.
Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayew both played in the entire duration of the game without a booking.
