Scandalous Fante Rapper, Kwaw Kese, who is now a freeman after serving his one day jail sentence said he believes his Lawyer, took a very strategic decision when he changed his plea from not guilty to guilty.

Speaking to Peacefmonline.com this afternoon the “Odeim” hit maker said the back and forth in court was affecting both his private life and his music career, because the case in court was stretching and seem to be over dragging.

“I pleaded guilty to my benefit and that is the reason why I am a freeman today walking freely in town without thinking of my next court appearance. I didn’t want to drag the case for a long time. My music career was at stake and was also affecting my private life”

According to Kwaw he had to fly to Kumasi and back anytime he had to go to court and it was affecting his schedule and plans for the rest of the year. “I have some work to do, but I couldn’t do the work and stop the court so to cut a long process short, I pleaded guilty so that the whole thing can end and I thank my Lawyer and my management for arriving at such a strategic decision.”

Kwaw Kese believes the judge tempered justice with mercy in spite of his one day sentence and the fine of GHC 1,200. “I was on remand for 39 days so I think the judge sympathized with me”.

Kwaw disclosed that now that he has his freedom back, he is back on truck to release more songs and perform more for his fans. “Right now I have added freeman to my name and my new song Yakubu is the new big song trending now. I released Yakubu few days ago and the song is already gone viral. Yakubu is already doing wonders”.

“Yakubu” is Kwaw Kese’s latest single featuring BET Award winner Sarkodie off his upcoming album.

The “Swedru Agona” Rapper disclosed that he is embarking on a nationwide tour starting from Winneba in the Central region. The first stop will be at Sir Charles Beach this Saturday May 2, 2015 as part of the Aboakyir festival. Supporting artistes include Yaa Pono, Pappy Kojo, Stay Jay, Buda among others.

Kwaw Kese will hit other locations in different part of all the ten regions of the country. According to Kwaw the tour is meant to thank his fans all over the country and to also continue his campaign against the use of drugs among the youth.
