#AccraFloods: Celebrities React On Social Media

Some celebrities have expressed their opinions that the avoidable tragedy has befallen the nation due to heavy downpour and subsequent flood which has led to loss of several lives in the capital city.  


The rain which started Wednesday evening, June 3 was flooded parts of Accra, leading to loss of lives and property. The heavy downpour in the Accra put many lives in danger as several homes in many parts of Accra were flooded whiles commuters were left stranded as most roads were left immotorable.

The rains started around 4.30pm and lasted till midnight, caused heavy y vehicular traffic at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Spintex Road, Kaneshie and several other places in Accra.

Whiles it was raining a GOIL filling station at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle opposite Vienna City in Accra that caught fire and exploded. According to the Ghana National Fire Service, over 100 bodies have been retrieved from the debris of the explosion.

This national tragedy has touched the hearts several celebrities including Sarkodie, Reggie Rockstone, Kwaw Kese, Efya, Ama K. Abebrese, Wanluv and others who have expressed their feeling on social media on the unfortunate development.
