TV Presenter and Lawyer Sandra Gyamfua Ankobia has announced her exit from TV3 as one of the hosts of the station’s flagship program “New Day” a breakfast magazine show.
The Ghanaian socialite and former “Fashion 101” host has failed to renew her 2 years contract with TV3 to be able to practice her passion which according to her is law. She hosted “New Day” on TV3 with Ama K. Abebrese, Nana Aba Anamoah and Benny Blanco.
In a press release, Sandra Ankobiah said;
“I have officially left TV3’s breakfast show, New Day. My two-year contract has officially run out. Over the past 24 months, I worked with some of the most talented people in Ghana. Together we built New Day into an awesome television programme.
Another passion of mine, Law, is calling, which means I don’t get to renew my contract as much as I would have loved to. I am grateful to the management and staff of TV3 for the opportunity, and support.
The journey was incredible.”
Sandra was inducted into the Ghana bar by Her Ladyship Chief Justice Georgina Wood at a meeting of the General Legal Counsel in Accra on Friday, April 12, 2013.
Sandra is a former student of the Akosombo International School, and also holds a degree from the University of Buckingham, UK (LLB). She acquired an LLM (Masters in Law) in International and Commercial Law before entering the Ghana School of Law, Makola, Accra.
