Hiplife artiste Mzbel born Belinda
Nana Akua Amoah has reportedly been given an undisclosed amount of money
by the Volta River Authority (VRA).
A post by the “E Dey Bee”
hit maker on her Instagram page, suggests the said money was part of the
organization’s role in helping her embark on her
#SayNoToIllegaConnection and #StopIllegalConnection campaign which
geared towards her #HelpStopDumsor project.
According to
Livefmghana.com about seven months ago, Mzbel released a song produced
by Fimfim titled “Dumsor” and since then, she has made it a point to
educate people on the need to reserve energy and their role in curbing
Ghana’s power crisis.
Ghana has been experiencing erratic power
supply since 2012 and the government hasn’t been able to find a solution
to it. There have been many promises, but none has seen the light of
day.
The Volta River Authority (VRA) is an electric power utility
corporation established in 196. The primary functions include the
generation of electric power.
