Sunday night’s result show saw the shocking exit of Filipino girl-group, 4th Impact from theX Factor UK music reality TV show.
But there was good news for Ghana’s very own Reggie Zippy and Bollie
(Reggie ‘N’ Bollie) who advanced to the semi-finals of the competition.
Singing Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae) by Silentó selected for them by the
public for Jukebox week, Reggie N Bollie performed with their
characteristic high energy for the jaunty song. It all looked like so
much fun that mentor Cheryl couldn’t help get up and join them in an
impromptu dance-off.
But can the fun dark horse of the competition make it past the semi-finals to win the competition?
The Telegraph certainly thinks otherwise:
They’re ludicrous, yet still they remain. While dead serious singers
and more credible groups shudder on stage each week as they find
themselves in the bottom two, Reggie ‘N’ Bollie are all smiles. Why?
Because the public loves them and they know it. They’re clearly Chery
F-V’s faves too
We’re pretty sure Simon Cowell won’t let them win – OK, officially it’s
down to the public, but he has ways of manipulating these things, we
can smell it – but he’s definitely eyeing them up for a novelty album.
They’re like an urban PJ & Duncan, something we never knew we
needed, but now can’t imagine living without.
