Adebayor Practices Yoga

Emmanuel Adebayor uses yoga to keep himself sharp for Crystal Palace.
When he arrived at Crystal Palace in January, Alan Pardew said he would need to stay as fit as possible to make an impact – it seems those words haven’t gone unnoticed.

Adebayor, who joined Palace in January on a deal until the end of the season after Tottenham released him, posted a picture on the Team Adebayor Instagram account of him practising yoga on Monday.

The caption that accompanied the post, read: ‘Time for some Yoga at the crib. No days off for SEA [Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor].’ Adebayor still has his critics who believe he is overpaid – he is being paid £70,000 per week by Palace and £30,000 by Spurs – but one thing he can’t come under scrutiny for is his dedication to staying fit and healthy.

Indeed, he might have to rely on yoga for keeping his shooting sharp as well as his mind, especially after a rather poor performance in Palace’s 1-0 FA Cup fifth round win on Sunday against Spurs where he recorded just one shot on target.

Since returning to the Premier League after ten months away, the striker has scored once in four games.

The 31-year-old netted in the 2-1 home defeat to Watford on February 13 and seems keen on playing as many games as possible.
