The young man who is being held by the Greater Accra Regional Police Command for allegedly killing late Joseph Boakye Danquah, MP for the Abuakwa North has allegedly confessed to the police the person who contracted him to kill the MP.
According to the Assin Central NPP Hon. Kennedy Agyapong a highly placed sources within the police service divulged the information to him in the form of a text message.
"A police officer sent me a text message to confirm the arrest of the guy and the person who paid him to kill JB Danquah," he said.
Speaking on Oman FM's political analysis program "Boiling Point", Akompreko as he is affectionately called stated that the alleged contractor is a politician cum journalist.
"We know the person and we are just watching. we don't want to pre-empt since the police are handling the case," Kennedy Agyapong stated.
He warned that if the information he received turns out to be true that JB Danquah's murder was politically motivated, it will be the beginning of process to remove president Mahama from office before December this year.
He cautioned the police against suppressing the truth about the killing of the late MP for Abuakwa North.
