The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, will lead a pack of seasoned movie stars and musicians in the country in a massive clean-up exercise in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital, on Saturday, March 5, this year.

Broadway Entertainment, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) which is into the organisation of social programmes, is collaborating with Ministry of Local Government, Zoomlion Ghana and Environmental Services Providers Association (ESPA) to organise the event.

The Asantehene last year led some music and movie stars to embark on a similar commendable exercise in Kumasi, which went a long way to make the city clean.

Gerald Acquaye, the administrative manager of Broadway Entertainment, said stars such as Lil Win, Kyeiwaah, VVIP, Tic Tac, Keche, Ben Brako, Rex Omar, David Dontoh, Guru and Pascaline Edwards will take part in the exercise.

Nene Ocansey, chairman of Broadway Entertainment, mentioned that Otumfuo is the number one ambassador for Broadway Entertainment, adding that Kojo Bonsu, KMA boss, DCOP Kofi Boakye and Peter Anarfi Mensah, Ashanti regional minister, will take part in the exercise.

He disclosed that his group is determined to make Ghana clean, stressing that Broadway Entertainment is aiming at providing every household in the country with a dustbin, saying, “We shall distribute 1,000 dustbins in Kumasi on March 5.”

Abdul Fatahu Alhassan, chief executive officer and operations director of Broadway Entertainment, said his outfit has been in existence for the past three years, adding that the clean-up exercise will be replicated in all the regional capitals in the country.

Broadway Entertainment, he said, manages musicians and football stars. They also organise national festivals and champion national events such as organising clean-up exercises to keep the country tidy.
