While there’s a category in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for Best Female Vocal Performance, there’s no category for Best Female Rapper in the awards event, forcing all rappers both male and female, to compete in the Best Rapper Of The Year category.
This really makes it difficult for Ghanaian female rappers to gain some exposure through the awards scheme, or even motivate them to do better, by creating a battle ground for them to display lyrical brilliance.
However, Guru just backed female rapper Eno, in a bid for the ‘new’ category. He shared the photo below,captioning it as ‘#fact’.
If you ask us, this category is very important. We want to see Eno, Ohemaa Dadao, Lousika, Eyirap, Esbee and more compete!
