Throughout this year, musicians such as Maccasio, as well as colleague Fancy Gaddam, because of their stature up north, have made a strong case for music from that part of the country; drawing record crowds at various outdoor events and bagging collaborations with, and endorsement from top mainstream artists as Shatta Wale and Kofi Kinaata.
Rapper Maccasio was recently linked to Samini’s Tamale concert flop because he held a separate concert on the same night. He has also been closely linked to Shatta Movement Records as their latest signee, especially since their collaboration Too Big.
