Barclays Bank Ghana Limited has launched its line of credit cards yesterday at Movenpic hotel in Accra.

credit cards are designed and readily available to customers per their
income levels, customers with income above ¢ 5,000 can access the
Platinum cards which comes with higher benefits and clients with
salaries of ¢ 5,000 and below will be able to access the Classic cards.

and credits are payable within a 55 day period at a low interest rate.

new credit cards are targeted at customers who are keeping salary
accounts with the bank, no minimum amount is required to qualify for a
Barclays Bank credit card.
Being
the first bank to launch credit cards in Ghana, this means that
customers will have easy access to cash from Barclays as and when they
need it. With these cards customers do not need to have money in their
account before they can spend, they can spend and pay later.
Speaking
to the Head of Credit Cards for Barclays Bank, Sam Donkor, he stated
that as the festive season is approaching the bank wants to give its
customers the freedom to spend without having to worry about cash hence
the launch of this new product onto the market.
He added over 3,000 Barclays customers are already using the credit cards and feedback has been splendid.
The event which was coordinated by Starr FM’s Anita Erskine saw business men clients and happy workers of the bank gracing it.
