I Did Not See Wisa’s Manhood- Citi FM Presenter Jessica Tells Court

Programmes Manager for Citi 97.3 FM, Jessica Opara-Saforo, has told a court in Accra she did not see the sex organ of popular hiplife musician Wisa Greid, which the latter was alleged to have displayed on stage during a concert organised by the station in December 2015.

The artiste is standing trial over the alleged incident and Jessica appeared in court as a prosecution witness when the case was called on Tuesday.

The ever-charming and affable Jessica told the court though she was at the said concert and was the MC for the event, she never saw the accused person expose his sex organ on stage during or after his performance.

She said her duty as MC at the event was to introduce Wisa, which she did and went backstage afterwards.

Jessica explained, however, that in the course of Wisa’s performance, she heard shouts in the auditorium which was perfectly normal and expected because of the nature of the event.

Next Witness

The prosecution on Tuesday asked the court for an adjournment to enable it to bring its next witness in the case.

The prosecution said its witness was currently not in Ghana, a request the court granted and adjourned proceedings until February 8, 2017.

At the previous sitting, the case could not be heard because Inspector Asante could not bring her next witness for the hearing.

The prosecution told the court that the investigator was not in court as at the time the case was called because he had gone to the workplace of a witness to bring him to court.

Mrs Adjin-Doku had indicated that the court would grant the last opportunity to the prosecution to produce witness or else would close their case.

No Case
 
Defence lawyers for Wisa Greid gave hints they would file for ‘no case’ in respect of the case brought against the hiplife artiste.

According to Jerry Avenogbor, lawyer for the accused, the prosecution led by Inspector Judith B. Asante has, for over a year into the hearing, failed to present any substantial witness to build its case.

He served notice in the Accra Domestic Violence and Gender Based court presided over by Mrs Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku when the case was called on Tuesday that he would file a submission for no case for his client.

Video And Apology

A video of the artiste rubbing what was suspected to be his manhood against his female dancer on stage during the performance was put on social media just after Wisa’s performance at the concert.

His management was compelled to issue an apology and described the incident as a “rash and irresponsible behaviour” by the artiste.
