Counselor George Lutterodt, since his emergence as one of Ghana’s counselors has received the least praise either for advice or statements he puts across. Whatever he says either backfires or infuriates the youth especially the men to come hard at him.
A video which went viral last week has scenes of the counselor grading a young actress as an energy drink for her sixty year old age difference suitor and citing that their relationship, will never work. This utterance by the counselor has thrown a lot of wagging tongues at him and swollen so much with anger is Nana Adjei Sanniez. Leashing out his bitterness, Nana J as affectionately called, has condemned the undefined statement by the counselor, claiming Lutterodt needs a psychiatric attention.
“Counselor Lutterodt needs a psychiatric attention. He speaks on air as if he has authority over every artiste in this country. He thinks he can sit anywhere and talk anyhow. He talks to us as if we’re his children or he puts food on our table. I don’t understand this man and I’m taking this issue more personal. I’ve listened to him for a very long time and I’ve realized he has nothing sensible to talk about. He has a problem with his brains and Ghanaians have given him the opportunity to go on air to blow out nonsense. How can a man sit and say on authority that this relationship will collapse; is he God?” he said.
He continued that Lutterodt should never be entertained because the man needs psychiatric attention for it isn’t every man seen on the street is of sound mind. Some are dressed neatly but are mentally out of mind; they are not serious and Lutterodt is definitely a part of them therefore Ghanaians should have a real check on him. Everyone has a right per his motive in sharing opinions but Nana J still holds on to the fact that “one can’t share his views and give out wrong advice.”
“We are all educated so when speaking on either radio or TV, you should know that there are a lot of elderly and more educated people watching or listening to you. So just don’t talk as if what you put out is definite and final or think you’re clever than anybody else,” Nana added.
He says the man talks with so much authority that, “it makes it looks as if no one can condemn him on what he says which is very wrong. We have a lot of counselors, how many of them have on authority come out to say, when you are a lady and you meet a man with a single room, don’t marry him? Or when your man isn’t making it, the lady shouldn’t support him? Look at all this. Do you know the kind of relationships he’s destroyed with what he is doing?”
Nana J assumes Lutterodt as no counselor or pastor after seeing him in another video. “I watched a video of Lutterodt dancing to Shatta Wale’s song and he still fits in the shoes of a pastor? It’s high time we should learn. Someone should put him on track. His advice is useless and shameful; he needs to be brought to book,” he added.
But how can Lutterodt be brought to book? Nana J suggests that “we need people. There are a lot of religious pastors and counselors in the country. They need to sit him down and talk to him. Somebody needs to challenge what he says for what he is doing is causing more good than harm which is not right. If he has something to say, he should say it rightly and also not authoritatively. Not because he has the platform all in the name of fame, he should just spill out anything.”
Nana J is a film actor married with two strong boys. He has featured in movies like Flash Fever, Dr. Love, Love for Rent etc. amidst local TV series like Chorkor Trotro and Barber and Shoe Shine. He has worked with a lot of prominent radio personalities and is currently working on his production which will be aired soon.
