Hip-life artiste, Emmanuel Botwe, popularly known as Kwaw Kese has
confirmed that he would not submit any of his songs to the Musicians
Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) for nominations during this year’s Vodafone
Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
According to the renowned Ghanaian rapper, submitting songs for nominations in the VGMA does not always yield better results hence his focus on catering for his family, music brand and working his way to the top for money.
“I have forgotten about VGMA. I am not submitting any music for an award. Sometimes you submit the work and the results don’t come out good. I am thinking about making lots of money to take care of my family and brand.
“If VGMA gives you the recognition and you don’t work your way to the top, you will not make money…if you don’t work yourself up, forget it. I’m all about money now so I can pay the fees of my kids…” he noted on Hitz FM.
