Ghanaian rapper Guru is up for 3 awards at the 2017 Ghana Music Honours scheduled for march 4 2017 at the National Theatre.
The musician who has continuously churned out hit songs after hit songs has been nominated for Hiplife Artist Honour, Best Music Video Honour and People’s Choice Artist Honour.
Guru comes against stiff competition from Sarkodie, E.L, Stonebwoy and several others.
In 2016, Guru won two awards at the 2016 4Syte TV Music Video Awards. He won Best edited Video for Samba. The same video won Best Choreography.
Established in 2012, the Ghana Music Honours is an award scheme where musicians are honoured by an academy of peers.
The 2017 edition has 20 honours which will be decided upon by the academy.
