Veteran reggae/dancehall singer Samini threw a surprise birthday party weeks ago for budding singer Bastero, at the Skybar in Accra.
A star-studded celebration, the night was also graced by Tinny, Jupitar, Luther, among other industry icons.
“I came through because Bastero is good, very good and respectful. As he celebrates his birthday this day, I had to pull a surprise on him and come through to show love. I can’t wait for him to blow up and hit mainstream recognition. I support every good act and I’m ready to support any of them”, Samini mentioned to blogger/author Elorm Beenie about his motive for throwing the party.
A Nima native, Bastero is widely tipped as one of the acts to watch in the dancehall genre, considering how well he has galvanised grass root following over the past few years. His October 2016 peace concert for instance drew in scores of patrons — a more than impressive achievement for a budding act.
