One
of Ghana’s fast-rising Reggae/Dancehall musicians, Bernard Okaiteh also
known as Eye Judah, has signed a 5-years label deal with a new record
label, Freedom Cry Records.
Eye
Judah, who was with Stonebwoy’s Burniton Music Group, was unveiled by
Freedom Cry Records owner Mr Karl Gid at a ceremony held at Iblis Hotel
in Accra.
Explaining why Eye Judah got signed on the label, Karl disclosed that “the
record label decided to work with Eye Judah due to the fact that he has
the talent, very hardworking and understands the industry perfectly. I
have been working with Eye Judah for some time now and I can say on
records that he is one of the artistes who will also lift the flag of
Ghana higher in the near future.”Freedom Cry Records is an artiste management, event organising and sound system management company. Freedom Cry Records exploits the growing entertainment industry across Ghana, Africa and the world through grooming of talents, productions, promotions and the distribution of audio and audiovisual materials across the world.
According
to Karl, the label intends to liaise with bigger distribution companies
worldwide to ensure that their products are globally distributed.
“Freedom
Cry Records will do everything possible to provide a worthy working
environment for its artistes, staff and affiliates,” Mr Karl concluded.
The ceremony saw MUSIGA President Bice Osei Kuffour, some key industry players and stakeholders, and the media in attendance.
