What was supposed to be the biggest night of music celebration as part
of the Ghana @60 celebrations turned out to be one of the major
disappointments ever for music lovers.
The event which was scheduled to kick start at 6pm at the Black Star Square, started at 11:00 pm with a count of music lovers not more than 20 as monitored by Ghanaweb.com
Despite billing over 30 of Ghana’s finest artistes including Samini, Jupitar, A.K Songstress, MzVee, Ras Kuuku, Knii Lante to perform at the Reggae/Dancehall & Hiplife Nite, the event organised by the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), could not attract even 50 patrons.
The free event saw patrons scattered with some even sleeping on the ground to enjoy a list of reggae songs dished out by Root Eye, who was supposed to be MC for the occasion.
