Veteran Ghanaian reggae/dancehall artiste, Root Eye who was billed to be
the Master of Ceremony (MC) for the Ghana Music Week Festival which
took place at the Black Star Square performed to a virtually empty
venue.
In the absence of the almost 30 big stars billed to perform on the night, the Director of Reggae and Dancehall for the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Kwasi Nyarko-Ofei popularly known as Root Eye could not help but perform his songs to entertain the few present.
The “Heaviest Rain” singer kept pleading with the less than 20 patrons gathered at the centre of the Black Star Square, some of whom were seen by Ghanaweb.com laying on the ground while the performance was ongoing.
