Information gathered by razzonline.com has revealed that, a lot of
showbiz enthusiasts and music lovers in Sunyani are poised to give
celebrated hiplife/hiphop music sensation; Guru a great welcome during
the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards nomination jams.
The multiple hitmaker, Guru who pulled out of the award scheme about three weeks ago for earning only three(3)nominations in this year’s VGMA, rescinded his decision after a meeting between his management and representatives from Charterhouse, organisers of the VGMA on Wednesday.
Upon hearing Guru’s rescindment, fans who had earlier decided to boycott the event have promised to give Guru a colossal welcome to prove their solidarity to him.
Razzonline.com learned that, the show which promises to be an unforgettable and exciting experience that music lovers cannot afford to miss, would have hugely been marred by Guru’s withdrawal. The nominees’ jam will take place on Saturday 11th March 2017 at the Coronation Park in Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region.
Aside Guru who is headlining the event, other Stars billed to perform on the night include dancehall artiste Samini, MzVee, Rass Kuuku, Flowking Stone, Medical, Kofi Kinaata, Nacee, Mabel Okyere and a host of other exceptional performers.
The VGMAs nominees’ jams is aimed at letting nominees get up-close and personal with their fans one more time before the final event.
This year’s Vodafone Ghana music awards is slated on the 8th April, 2017 at the Accra international conference centre.
