Ghanaian actor and television personality David Kwame Dontoh, who has starred in numerous local and international movies, says Nigerians beat Ghanaians today because they sing in their songs, which appeals to Ghanaians.
Speaking in an interview with Accra-based Eezy FM, Mr. Dontoh, said: many of our young guys coming up are made to do danceable music because that were our music awards really looks at.
According to him “A lot of our music awards are giving awards to people who do danceable music… infact the best of music is made by singers or people who sings and our young guys don’t know music that last we call it evergreen because people can sing them.”
He asked that: Lot of people makes great rap music how many can remember. They themselves forget their own rap.
“But when you sing a song even just the melody people pick them up and sing along and that’s what makes the song evergreen,” he said.
The Cursed Ones actor entreats upcoming musician and mainstream artistes to do more singing in their music.
He added that: what the Nigerians beat Ghanaians today is because they sing in their songs and appeals to us.
