Rex Omar Appointed As The New Chairman Of GHAMRO Board
Composer, Rex Omar, who has been heavily involved in the fight for the rights of musicians in Ghana over the years, is finally at the helm of affairs; he is now in charge, fully.
Rex won a 7-6 voting by the newly-elected Board members of the Ghana Right Owners Organization (GHAMRO), beating Nana Tuffour, who, once again, failed to oversee another grouping within the industry after he lost the MUSIGA Presidency to Bice Osei Kuffour some years ago.

As monitored by this portal, Ahmed Banda, popularly known as Bandex, retained his position as 1stVice Chairman while the former President of MUSIGA, Mrs. Diana Hopeson assumes the role of the 2nd Vice Chair.

dhering to the directives enshrined in the new constitution, the Chairman and his Deputies were voted by the Board members and not the entire membership of the organization.

It is not clear if the Rex Omar administration is going to work with the current Management of the organization, which is led by Abraham Adjetey as Chief Executive Officer, Jonathan Cudjoe as Licensing Officer and Prince Tsegah as Public Relations Officer, among others.
