Ghanaian comedian, Derrick Kobina Bonney, aka DKB, has rendered an
unqualified apology to former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.
DKB’s performance drove the former first lady out of the auditorium due to some vulgar words he used during his performance at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) last Saturday, April 15, 2017.
Although, he admitted that he was not feeling the audience on the night, he quickly ended his jokes.
Speaking to Entertainment Today, DKB said: “I have nailed great shows from left, right, centre since I started comedy, but my show on that night was unfortunate.”
When asked if the issues he had with Accra-based Hitz FM played a role in his performance, he replied: “I won’t mention that as a factor but I knew I was going to make people laugh… which they did but to me this has never happened to me before.”
He added: “I’m deeply sorry for all that happened.”
