I’m Ready To Serve The Black Stars – Stephen Appiah
Former Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah has revealed his readiness to serve the Black Stars when called upon.
Several reports have emerged that the former skipper of the senior national team have been asked to join the backroom staff of the team after Kwesi Appiah was reappointed as the Black Stars head coach.

Former Black Stars goalkeeper, Richard Kingston and Ibrahim Tanko’s name have also emerged as persons who are likely to be part of the team that will assist the former Al Khartoum trainer.

However, the former Juventus and Fenerbahçe midfielder says he is ready to work with the national team.

“I haven’t received any letter. I am a business man, I have players I am managing, I have players that I am training and I have other things that I’m planning to come out with.

“I am around so if it comes to working with the Black Stars, I am ready to serve. I haven’t received any letter so I don’t know but if I receive a letter I will let you know,” he told the media.

Appiah was the first captain that qualified the country to its first World Cup appearance in Germany, 2006.
