At the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference today Apple announced it was throwing its hat into the home speaker market. Apple revealed its new standalone Bluetooth speaker called HomePod. The 7-inch mesh bubble includes a Siri interface on top.
The device is set to compete with the likes of Amazon Echo and Google Home.
The device will be available in space gray or white, and will cost around $349. But don’t expect to get your hands on one anytime soon as the device isn’t expected to ship until December. HomePod will be connected to Apple Music and respond in a similar fashion to request as Siri.
