Ghanaians Players Who Could Be Set To Transfer This Window

Ghanaians Players Who Could Be Set To Transfer This Window
Sulley Muntari

Out of contract with Pescara at the end of the month, as things stand, Muntari doesn’t appear to have been offered a new deal with the relegated Serie A side. Even if a new offer was forthcoming, would he really want to drop to the second tier, particularly after the club were criticised for failing to back him after he was subjected to racial abuse this season? It would be fascinating to see if Muntari could be tempted by a reunion with ex-Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp, now at Birmingham City.

Kevin-Prince Boateng

After signing a new extended contract with Las Palmas, reportedly keeping him with the Canary Islanders until 2020, Boateng seems like an unlikely pick to make this list. However, reports this week suggest that the midfielder, who made the Liga BBVA team of the season, is being considered by Internazionale. It would be a sensational return to Milan—albeit the blue half—but just how much could Las Palmas demand for the 29-year-old?

Asamoah Gyan

Asamoah Gyan was linked with a move to Reading last summer, but a move ultimately failed to materialise amidst reports that the Ghana hitman failed a medical. He hasn’t totally put his injury concerns behind him, but a year on, the 31-year-old is again being linked with a move to Europe. This time, it’s Bursaspor who are understood to be keen on his services, with the Turkish press linking him with a move from Al-Ahli Dubai to the Super Lig.

Andre Ayew

Andre Ayew’s form picked up significantly towards the end of the season after a muddled start to life at West Ham United. However, Hammers’ fans’ hopes of seeing the best of the Black Star next term have been dented by reports in France Football that suggest that Dede is keen on a return to former club Olympique de Marseille. It remains to be seen whether OM are keen to reunited Ayew with Irons old boy Dimitri Payet, but if he agitates for a move, expect a few other sides to take interest in the attacker.

Abdul Rahman Baba

Few sides have been as ambitious as Everton this window, with the Toffees spending big to bring Jordan Pickford and Davy Klaassen to Goodison Park. Could Baba follow them? The Toffees have made an enquiry to Chelsea about the wideman’s availability, and he’d certainly be a fine long-term successor for Leighton Baines. He’s still working his way back to full fitness, and while a return to Schalke has been mooted, Everton could be an ideal option for Baba as he looks to prove he can cut it in the Premier League.

Kwadwo Asamoah

Despite all that he’s achieved with Juventus, Asamoah may have finally realised the value of regular first-team football, with the left-sider understood to have handed in a transfer request in light of the Old Lady’s Champions League final defeat by Real Madrid. There’ll doubtless be interest from the Premier League, where both Southampton and West Ham United are reported suitors, although Galatasaray may look to rival any approach.

Alfred Duncan

It was a tricky season for Sassuolo and Duncan, with the former dropping to a 12th-placed finish, and the latter struggling with injury during the campaign. He made just 14 starts in the league and played for just 16 minutes in the Europa League, despite doing so much to help Sassuolo get there. Nonetheless, the Ghanaian has suitors at home and abroad, with Bayer Leverkusen and Fiorentina both reportedly keen on his services. AC Milan are also understood to have sent scouts to watch the 24-year-old.
