Falz speaks On “Crazy” Ghana Meets Naija 2017 Success: I Definitely Did Not Expect That Kind Of Reaction

In a recent exclusive interview with ENEWSGH, Nigerian rapper Folarin Falana  (better known by his stage name Falz) disclosed what a pleasant surprise his recent performance in Ghana proved to be.

The “Soft Work” man, mounted a Ghanaian stage for the first time at Empire’s Ghana Meets Naija concert. He made the landmark appearance as one third of a formidable contingent of Nigerian acts for the night: the others being Tiwa Savage and Davido. He received widespread praise for his charisma and overall stagecraft.

But the rapper, who’s prepping for the release of his third album admitted that patrons’ response to him proved a pleasant surprise: “I definitely did not expect that kind of reaction, so for me, getting that was amazing…it was crazy for me”, he admits into this golden atmosphere “it was emotional, and being on the same stage with the likes of Davido, Shatta Wale, Tiwa Savage, M.anifest…it was big, it was extraordinary. That sort of response made me feel very happy”, he said.

Falz also shot the video for his latest single Jeje in Jamestown – Accra. His previous CDs are Wazup Guy (2014), Stories That Touch (2015). Last year, he released a joint EP with singer Simi titled Chemistry.

Highly popular for “Softwork”, he is also acclaimed for such widespread hits as “Soldier” (featuring Simi) ,”Clap” (featuring Reminisce), “Bahd Baddo Baddest” (featuring Olamide & Davido), and  recently, “Wehdonsir”.
