Various contestants vying for
positions within the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) have assembled at
Koforidua to participate in today’s official opening of the Union’s 6th
Quadrennial Congress.
The congress has been scheduled from
October 29th and is expected to end on 31st October, 2015. The 6th
Quadrennial congress is under the theme: Developing The Music Industry, The Role Of An Effective Union.

was represented by Eugene Osafo-Nkansah to cover proceedings of the
elections. He reports that the atmosphere has so far been peaceful and
friendly.
He reported that Minister for Tourism, Culture and
Creative Arts, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Agyare has graced the occasion to
support the elections.
Former MUSIGA president Mrs. Diana
Hopeson together with Atongo Simba and Mary Ghansah are also in
Koforidua to offer their support.
The battle for presidency
would see veteran musician Gyedu Blay Ambolley and sound engineer Appiah
Dankwa aka Apietus contest the incumbent Bice Osei Kuffour aka Obour.
