This year’s Ghana Club 100 Awards, which comes off Friday August 19
at the plush Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City –Accra, will be hosted by
talented on-air personality Giovani Caleb, organizers have announced.
The president, John Mahama, has also been announced as special guest of
honor.
The event, which seeks to acknowledge top corporate entities in the country while improving the information culture providing incentives for superior output, and developing a uniform criteria for measuring performance comes off under the theme “Manufacturing; Steering Ghana’s Development”, this year.
100 businesses will be named in the prestigious list of top companies in the country for their contribution in various sectors including agriculture and agribusiness; financial services; information and communication technology (ICT); services; infrastructure; oil and gas; mining; manufacturing; tourism; health and education, would be awarded. Top winners in the past include oil giants Tullow Ghana Limited, Ecobank, Ghana Rubber Estates Limited, CAL Bank Limited and Benso Oil Palm Plantation (BOPP).
This is an impressive milestone for fast-rising Giovani Caleb, who recently took over the mantle of drive-belt host from EIB boss Bola Ray. He first got into radio while still an undergraduate at the University of Ghana, and such virtues as hard work, dedication and humility have ensured his growing reputation as one of the leading faces in modern broadcasting.
His radio show, The Starr Drive airs live weekdays from 3 pm.
