Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he will manage a team next season – even if it might NOT be Arsenal.
The Frenchman’s future is under intense scrutiny after the dismal defeat to Bayern Munich in midweek with it looking more and more likely he will finally end his two decade stay in north London this summer.
But despite a difficult period this term Wenger confirmed he has no intention of walking away from the game entirely.
When asked if he had made a decision about his future, Wenger told reporters: “No matter what happens, I will manage next season. Whether it is here or not, that is for sure.
“It is important for the club to make the right decision for the future. I did not work here for 20 years not to care.
“I had many opportunities to go somewhere else but I care for this club and its future. It is important for the club to be in safe hands.”
