De-Lion Also Thinks Shatta Wale Is Not Doing Dancehall

Shatta Wale seems to be the ripest target around right now, with shots coming at him from all angles.
Ever since Okraku Mantey said Shatta is not composing dancehall songs to be calling himself the ‘dancehall king’ – the crown of the self proclaimed king has come under threat.

One upcoming dancehall star also hitting at Shatta is De-Lion. Speaking to Radio Univers, he agreed with Mark’s assertion, pointing to some of Shatta’s tracks as simply not dancehall material.

“…The time I knew Shatta Wale to be doing dancehall was way back… If you say you are a dancehall King, then please do dancehall, even if it’s an Afrobeat, represent yourself as the dancehall artiste you are,” he said.

“I wouldn’t say I’m a dancehall artiste and then you’ll hear me doing something different”. he said, knocking on Shatta for such tracks like ‘Kpuu Kpaa’.

Shatta Wale, meanwhile, has a message for artists like De-Lion and Jupitar…
