The ever-versatile Mugeez of R2Bees, as well as singer Mr Eazi, have both featured on producing duo Legendury Beatz’s latest mixtape Afropop 101.
Mugeez features on two records off the 9-track project: Apple and Vodka, and Undercover Lover, while Mr Eazi appears on Heartfelt. Other contributors on the project include Wizkid, Simi, Timaya, Maleek Berry, among others.
Comprising of brothers Uzezi Oniko and Okiemute Oniko, Legendury Beatz have, with songs like Wizkid’s Azonto, Caro, and the groundbreaking Ojuelegba, the two have become an important reference in the Afropop conversation. On this project, they combine masterfully, the various elements and influences which go into the genre.
