Following the massive hit of his “Confessions” single, many were highly expectant of a great performance by Kofi Kinaata on the night of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Unfortunately, the artiste brutally disappointed his audience with a mediocre performance, for which he was not spared by the harsh criticisms of Ghanaians.
However, in an interview on TV3‘s morning program New Day, the singer admitted to the shambolic performance and apologised duly to his fans.
“I was tired and very active throughout the week, having played a show on Friday before performing at the VGMA on Saturday.
“I wouldn’t use that as an excuse but I can only plead with my fans and promise to put up a better performance next time.”
Kinaata bagged three awards including Best Songwriter of the Year and Highlife Song of the Year at the 2017 VGMA.
