Mudclo is one of Africa’s promising
startups. The search engine might be on its way to becoming the most talked
about website on the African tech market. Mudclo is the world’s hottest video search
engine built right here within the shores of Africa.
It is a free online engine
that allows users to search, discover and stream millions of web videos from
multiple destinations. Mudclo is the combining search powers of three of the
most popular video hosting sites; Youtube, Vimeo and Daily Motion. It is a
hybrid search engine; more powerful, more efficient.
As its 19 year old CEO Gabriel Opare says, Mudclo’s mission is to ‘create an online garment that is readily worn by Africans and at the same time will thrill non-Africans’.
Mudclo is threatening to revolutionize the African continent tech-wise and has joined the pantheons of local African startups possessing global competitiveness.
University of Ghana student founder Gabriel Opare begun Mudclo in 2015 but it wasn’t until this year, it was officially functional.
The search engine has since then received an overwhelming 13,000+ followers on twitter, has begun astronomically rising in repute and commanded incredible traction over these few months.
The video search engine (www.mudclo.com) isn’t perfect. The Mudclo team still has a long way to go; fixing bugs, introducing new features etc but unarguably it is a well-built video search engine which didn’t originate from Silicon Valley but Ghana, Africa…which is commendable.
Mudclo, to many has become a symbol of African ingenuity. It has come to give a newer dimension to internet technology and headed by a teenage CEO with fresh ideas, anything seems possible.
